We collect only information that is needed to help couples enrich and restore their marriage. We train certified Ministry Coordinators, Mentors and church staff about how we use that information. We limit the collection of information about users to what we need to know to manage the qualifying, pairing and ongoing support of both mentor and mentee couples, and to fulfill any legal and regulatory requirements.

The background information is collected for the purpose of pairing mentor and mentees as well as providing valuable research data. When quantifying data, specific names and addresses are not used. The information collected through the actual assessment helps provide a snapshot of the user couple’s marriage to Ministry Coordinator or ministry leader in the organization. Information is requested from both spouses in the areas of communication, conflict resolution, sexuality, finances and overall marital satisfaction. Session reports are collected from mentors to help Ministry Coordinators understand a couples progress in the mentoring process and to assist Strong Marriages in research and development of the Marriage Mentors program.

This information is stored in a highly secured password protected server. Information gathered from the assessment will be seen by Ministry Coordinators, the mentor couple and possibly a church staff member/s.  Each of these individuals is aware of the sensitivity of the information and has been educated in how to use the information throughout the mentoring process. No other users entering the Strong Marriages Support System will be allowed to see this information without expressed permission of Strong Marriages, either written or verbal.

Responses from the personality portion of the assessment are captured in printable form and made available only to Ministry Coordinators, the mentor couple, and possibly a church staff member/s. Other than their own responses, mentors have access to the responses of their mentee couple only as long as they are actively mentoring the couple. Once completed with the mentoring process, the information gathered from both mentors and mentees will be stored in a password protected secured area for an undetermined amount of time.

Strong Marriages does not sell or distribute the name(s), email(s), or contact information of any user to any other individual or group. Users can go online to check and update their profile information. When quantifying data for research, advertising, or marketing, specific names and addresses are not used. We reserve the right to use the information and anecdotal data collected in Mentor Session Reports for research, development, marketing, and advertising. Any such data will be used anonymously and no data will be used that can be personally identified or connected with an individual.
